I like music, it makes me happy, sad, angry, militant, horny, energetic, feared, respected and ridiculed, a whole gamut. It's a form of expression, it's a form or relation. The world needs music, it needs more of it, it needs new rhythms and beats.
A lot of people say that hiphop is an artform that promotes violence in children, I say to these people you know not what you speak of. So many times I've heard a song that related to exactly what I was feeling that it eased the pain and let me simmer before I went and did something stupid. To the nay sayers I say get a life, and do something productive with it rather than trying to stop someone from producing.
When I wrote this I thought dropping bombs on cocaine fields would be a great idea. I'm a year older now, I think that they should just nerve gas the workers instead. Cocaine never lifted a hand to hurt anyone.
I drive, I rap, I dance, I write, I used to fight. This is a small area of what is me, to truly know me you'd have to have been with me for the past 26 years of my life. Since no one has been with me for more than 50% of that time, no one will ever truly know he who is Jeff Carnahan.
